Furniture moving for any size of job

Not every move is a full house. Sometimes it is a new sofa from the market, a bed set going to a daughter's new home, or grandmother's almirah going to another city. Our furniture moving service handles these jobs with the same care as a full house move.

We send the right vehicle and the right number of people for the job: two people and a Shehzore for a single sofa, a Mazda and a full team for a house of furniture.

How we move furniture safely

• Dismantling. Beds, wardrobes, dining tables, TV units and wall units are taken apart where they are built to come apart. Screws and fittings go in labelled bags taped to the piece.
• Wrapping. Wooden furniture is wrapped in blankets and stretch film. Sofas and mattresses get stretch film so they stay clean. Glass tops and mirrors travel separately with corner guards.
• Carrying. Heavy pieces are carried, never dragged, and stairs are taken slowly with enough hands on each piece.
• Loading. Heavy and flat items are tied to the side of the vehicle so they cannot shift on the road.
• Fitting. At the new place, everything we took apart is fitted again and placed where you want it.

Furniture moving companies: what to check

When you compare furniture moving companies, check three things:

1. Do they dismantle and fit? Some movers only carry, and leave you with a bed in pieces.
2. Do they wrap? Furniture carried without wrapping gets scratched on stairs and in the vehicle.
3. Do they send enough people? Two people cannot safely carry a heavy almirah down four floors.

Local furniture moving

Inside one city, a single item or a few pieces usually goes in a Shehzore. A full set or a large almirah goes in a Mazda. We can pick up from a furniture market, a showroom or a carpenter's workshop and deliver to your home.

Furniture moving to another city

For one or two pieces going to another city, the cheapest way is a shared load. Your furniture shares a vehicle with other customers going the same way, wrapped and tied so it does not touch their goods. For a full set, a Mazda of your own is better.

Furniture moving checklist

Before the team arrives:

1. Empty all drawers, almirahs and cupboards. Furniture moved full can break at the joints.
2. Remove glass shelves and mirrors if they come off easily, or tell us and we will do it.
3. Defrost the fridge a day before and dry it, so it does not leak in the vehicle.
4. Measure the doors and stairs at the new place if a piece is very large.
5. Tell us about anything antique, delicate or very heavy, such as a marble table top or a piano.

Heavy and delicate pieces

Some pieces need extra people and extra care: solid wood almirahs, marble dining tables, large mirrors, glass showcases, pianos and treadmills. For these we send more hands, use blankets and corner guards, and, where possible, take the piece apart. If a piece cannot fit through a door or down a stair, we tell you at the survey, not on the day.

Furniture moving inside Lahore and Karachi

Inside the big cities, most furniture moves are short but slow: narrow streets, traffic and parking take time. We plan these jobs early in the day or late in the evening when roads are clearer. For a few pieces, a Shehzore is quicker in narrow streets than a big Mazda. For single pieces, send us photos on WhatsApp for a quick free quotation.

Loads moving between cities follow the NHA weight rules on the motorways, and furniture rarely comes close to the limit, so space is usually what decides the vehicle size.

When you move into a new home, furniture often comes from several places: some from the old house, some from a market, and some from a carpenter. We can collect from all of them in one trip and deliver in the order you want, so the big pieces go in before the cartons.
